ABOUT US
It all started from a family trip at the end of 2018 to the city of Querétaro, Querétaro, Mexico, during a walk through the beautiful center of the capital of that state.
Jorge Aguilar (founder of Manos con Arte and Mexican), I met some artisans who were selling Christmas wreaths made of tamale leaves. That's when I got the idea of taking them to Panama since it would be something different and new and in this way promote the traditions and culture of Mexico in Panama.
OUR HISTORY
In order to continue expanding our roots, I joined forces with Jorge Cabrera whom I met in Panama. At first there was only a presence on social networks as a platform, then they began to attend craft fairs in Panama and also began to have the support of the Mexican embassy to participate in their
events where little by little they helped to make the project more known.
There were more and more products and it was already difficult to move everything to the markets, so we decided to look for a fixed space.
It was so that at the end of 2019 we opened the Manos con Arte showroom in Casco Viejo, Panama; a colorful and cozy space where we began to receive our clients and provide them with personalized attention. Also as part of the project we were giving a variety of workshops in the showroom promoting local artisans.
With the pandemic we had to stop workshops and visits, however, that was when the success of the project came with the increase in digital purchases and now more and more people identify with us and more and more people appreciate handmade products. In June 2023 we opened our Boutique and history continues to be written.
The story is just beginning
